Upon completion of these courses students will receive a Bible Certificate from Evangel University. This certificate provides a basic biblical foundation needed for service in church leadership roles. It is designed for those who want to increase their biblical knowledge and literacy to prepare them for service in faith-based organizations (churches, Christian non-profits).

MINISTRY PRACTICUM
In addition to coursework, USOM will provide an experiential learning component that is fulfilled through a ministry practicum, an essential part of the learning experience at USOM.
A ministry practicum consists of serving in the local church and aids in ministry education and application. Ministry Practicums are designed to provide in-depth participation in local church ministry. Students are assigned to areas of ministry based on interest as well as exposure level to other vital areas of ministry. Throughout this ministry practicum, students will receive training, coaching, mentoring and ongoing evaluation.
LEARNING OUTCOMES

Students will understand the books, genres, and themes, as well as the background and analytical information of both the Old and New Testament.

Students will understand the basic skills needed to both comprehend and teach from the biblical text.

Students will examine individual select books from both the Old and New Testaments and apply learning as it relates to biblical interpretation.
